vision & mission
Our vision:
Our vision is to be a multicultural/ multi-ethnic church movement with a heart for the poor and lost and a focus on holistic discipleship.
Our mission:
LOVE GOD
Jesus said “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind” (Luke 10:27). We take the Bible very seriously and seek to love God with our whole lives. It’s only by Jesus’ love for us that we can love Him back (1 John 4:19).
The grace of Jesus compels us to love God with everything that we have and everything that we are.
LOVE PEOPLE
It’s impossible to love God without loving people. “For God so loved the whole world…” (John 3:16). Because Jesus loves everyone so do we. Jesus invites us to love our neighbor, not just when it’s convenient but also when it’s costly. Loving people includes meeting their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Empowered by the Holy Spirit we seek to love people radically in a way that reveals the goodness of our Father in Heaven.
MAKE DISCIPLES
In Matthew 28:18-20 Jesus instructs His disciples to GO and MAKE disciples of all the nations. Loving God and loving people will result in making disciples, but it is only by the power of God that we can make disciples of Jesus.
We believe that when we take Jesus at His word and love Him with our whole lives and love our neighbors as ourselves we will be disciples who make disciples.
SERVE THE POOR
As a movement we remember the poor because we believe God does. We believe they are central to His mission in the world. It is our conviction that God is always on the side of those who have no one on their side. For that reason we believe the church should also stand on the side of the poor, and in so doing stand in solidarity with the heart and work of God. Jesus’ own ministry is our model.
